A long time argument I had (and still have) with many comics fans.
The King knew how to draw beautiful and graceful women… Not just a sexy centerfold, mind you.
Once, after Mike Royer redrew Big Barda's face to make it "prettier", the King reverted the page back to the original pencils and requested him to remain faithful to the way he drew her… and with reason!
After hearing 30 years of convention-floor wives tales, I finally saw digital copies of "In the Days of the Mob" this morning. Fascinating work. If only Carmine Infantino allowed Kirby to finish this.
